Episode 1 – Interview with Dave Miller

I am proud to release the first installment of the Jazz Exchange. This first episode features an interview that I did with Chicago Jazz guitarist Dave Miller with music from his band Algernon and highlights from a jam session with Dave, myself on Bass, and Mikel Avery on Drums.

Following the Dream

I did my first interview yesterday for the Jazz Exchange. It was a little scary at first sense it was my first time ever giving an interview but had a lot of fun and am really excited to do more of them. The first one was with Dave Miller and there are plans to do several more. I have a lot of technical barriers to overcome before all of this is going to come together but I really have a lot of hope.

Podcast hopes.

I am currently working on getting a podcast up and running which I plan on making the centerpiece of this website. I plan is to cohost with my friend and musical cohort, Mikel Avery. Baby steps. I hope to be staring to do releases by the end of the year.

Welcome to the Jazz Exchange

This is a website-blog that I have started in hopes of eventually becoming a resource for the jazz community. I hope to provide content for students, fans, performers, and educators alike. I hope that you check back as things develop. The site will undoubtedly begin with a focus on chicago seeing as that is my current residence but I hope to soon expand to all the major hubs of jazz as soon as possible. Smiles.
